200,000 will be popular around! Chery Jietu pushes Shanhai T2 four-wheel drive version at the end of August

The appearance was handsome, the space was large, the fuel consumption was low, and the price was also cheap. As a new energy light off-road model, it could be said that many "square box" enthusiasts liked it.

However, it is a pity that the front-wheel drive version of the Kunpeng Super Hybrid System, which is indeed a bit unreasonable for a car that needs to take into account the non-paved road scene.

Finally, recently disclosed that the Shanhai T2 four-wheel drive version will be officially released at the 2024 Chengdu International Auto Show on August 30 this year. For reference, the guide price of the front-wheel drive version on sale is 17.99-20 9,900 yuan, while the four-wheel drive version is expected to be 20-220,000 yuan.

The Shanhai T2 can be said to be a derivative version of the Jietu Traveler. Although it is a front horizontal layout under the load-bearing body architecture, the whole vehicle adopts an integrated laser-welded cage body with a torsional stiffness of up to 31000Nm/deg. With a strengthened multi-link independent rear suspension, it is sufficient to cope with the use of light non-paved roads.

In terms of size, the Shanhai T2 has a length, width and height of 4785/2006/1875 (1910) mm, a wheelbase of 2800mm, and a vehicle approach angle of 28 °, a departure angle of 30 °, a minimum ground clearance of 220mm, and a maximum wading depth of 700mm. Not to mention its excellent escape ability, simply running 318, 219, or Duku Highway is definitely better than Tiguan, CR-V, and other urban SUVs.

The focus is on the power architecture part. The front-drive version of Shanhai T2 uses the Chery Kunpeng super-hybrid C-DM solution of Chery Automobile, equipped with the fifth-generation ACTECO 1.5TGDI engine, with a maximum power of 115kW and a maximum torque of 220Nm. With full electrification and deep Miller cycle support, the maximum thermal efficiency of the whole machine reaches 44.5%.

Matching it is a DHT dual motor unit that supports three physical gears, using a P2 + P2.5 layout. Both motors can directly drive the wheels through their respective gears, which is impossible with a peer P1 + P3 layout.

According to the official data released, the pre-drive version on sale has a maximum power of 280kW under the blessing of the engine and dual motors, and the peak torque reaches 610Nm. With 26.7kWh and 43.24kWh lithium battery packs, plus a large fuel tank with 70L capacity, the comprehensive battery life of the whole vehicle can exceed 1300km when fully charged.

The upcoming four-wheel drive version will add an additional P4 layout electric drive unit to the rear axle, which will not only further enhance the power performance, but also enable plug-in and hybrid four-wheel drive.

From the perspective of the same power combination, this four-wheel drive system that integrates one engine and three motors before and after can achieve a combined power of 455kW, a maximum torque of 920Nm, and a 0-100km/h acceleration time of around 5s, which is much stronger than the Haval Raptor using the Great Wall Hi4 (P2 + P4).

As for the user’s most concerned about the price, currently also equipped with this set of plug-in hybrid four-wheel drive system Star Road Yaoguang C-DM, Fengyun T10 guide price has come to more than 220,000, this Shanhai T2 four-wheel drive version is estimated to be 20-220,000 yuan, in view of the equation Leopard 5 has dropped to 239,800 yuan, Shanhai T2 four-wheel drive version will certainly not exceed this price.
