Pure electric taxi pilot encounters embarrassment, where is the road？

Haikou, Hainan has been piloting pure electric vehicles as city taxis since 2011. But recently reporters found that many pure electric taxis have been suspended and idled. It is understood that Haikou Bus Crescent Automobile Co., Ltd., as a pilot unit of pure electric taxis, has invested 226 vehicles one after another from 2011 to 2014. In addition to the first batch of 27 vehicles that have been put into use and are waiting to be scrapped, 78 of the 199 vehicles in operation should be returned. In interviews, both drivers and taxi companies have complained about the use and maintenance of pure electric taxis.
